Bollywood`s reigning queen Aishwarya Rai, whose fame is growing by leaps and bounds globally, is all set to consolidate her numero uno position in bollywood with four of her upcoming releases during 2009. Her Tamil film "Endhiran" starring Tamil superstar Rajnikanth and directed by ace director S Shankar is already raising high expectations down south. Her two other movies "Raavan" with hubby Abhishek Bachchan & directed by Mani Ratnam; "Action Replay" starring Akshay Kumar both are all set to be huge hits in bollywood given the star-cast, big directors, big banners and especially Aishwarya’s performance. For the last two consecutive years 2007 & 2008, Akshay Kumar has given five back-to-back super hits. Continuing his Midas touch, Akshay Kumar, who is fondly known as Akki in bollywood, is gearing up five more movies to be released during 2009. His autobio-pic film "Chandi Chowk to China" is already doing a roaring business while his "8 X 10 Tasveer" directed by Nagesh Kukunoor is running to packed houses. His two other movies with dazzling beauty Katrina Kaif and a sequential movie "Here Pheri 3" are sure to land him in the hot seat of numero uno in bollywood. Given his hard work and wonderful acting talents, Akki`s "Kambakkht Ishq" starring Hollywood legends Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards, Brandon Routh & Carmen Electra is further going to catapult him to global superstar status. Aamir Khan who appears on celluloid once a year always comes up with big bollywood blockbusters. Remember his "Taare Zameen Par" in 2007 and "Ghajini" in 2008. Both the Hindi films became big blockbusters and received rave reviews nationally and internationally. This year too he is coming up with another surprise; "3 Idiots" starring Kareena Kapoor and Kajol. His millions of fans are just waiting with bated breath for its upcoming release of "3 Idiots". As for the bollywood badshah, Shahrukh Khan, whose romantic flicks on-screen make zillions of fans swoon over him across the world is coming-up with two movies: "My Name Is Khan" with hot Kareena Kapoor and a multi-starrer "Kal Kisne Dekha" starring Abhishek, Juhi Chawla & Rishi. Katrina Kaif whose hourglass dazzling beauty casts a spell on billions of her fans is churning out five films in 2009. While Kareena Kapoor is coming out with six Hindi films, the most promising actress Deepika is coming up with two films "Love Aaj Kal" with Saif Ali Khan and "Kartik Calling Kartik" with Farhan Akhtar. Other stars who are also busy trying to score one-up at the bollywood box office with their performances are Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, Bipasha Basu, John Abraham, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor. While the world is reeling under serious economic depression bollywood looked buoyant and generated an over Rs.200 crores [2 billion] for the first three months of 2009. At this rate, by the end of 2009 bollywood is expected to generate an over Rs.40 billion with all the leading actors and actresses vying with each other to churn out blockbuster hit movies. The first three months itself saw the release of top films like Shahrukh Khan-starrer "Billu Barber", Askhay Kumar-starrer "Chandni Chowk To China", Farhan Akhtar`s "Luck by Chance" and Emraan Hashmi"s "Raaz - The Mystery Continues" and several other big budget movies. After the super duper success of "Ghajini" in 2008, Aamir Khan is gearing up with his "Three Idiots" in tow with two other hot bollywood actresses, Kareena Kapoor and Kajol Devgan and is sure to throw a surprise at his millions of fans. Not to lag behind there is bollywood badshah, Shahrukh Khan who is getting ready with "My Name Is Khan" with Kareena Kapoor and "Kal Kisne Dekha" with Abhishek, Juhi & Rishi Kapoor. Industry sources are betting high on these Shahrukh Khan movies as always. Indeed going by these upcoming releases bollywood is sure going to become richer by another Rs.2000 to 4000 crores [Rs.20 to 40 billion] this 2009.
